Fly Over Rio: A Paragliding Adventure You’ll Never Forget
Your unforgettable adventure begins at Pepino Beach, one of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic coastlines. This is where you’ll arrive by transfer and begin your paragliding journey. The area offers everything you need: parking, food kiosks, bathrooms, changing rooms, water fountains, and free Wi-Fi.
Upon arrival, you’ll meet your host and lead instructor, Ighor Martins, who coordinates a team of over 140 certified paragliding professionals. With decades of experience, our team is committed to providing you with maximum safety, quality, and professionalism.
Next, you’ll head to the flight club headquarters to complete a short registration form, which activates your tour insurance. Then it’s time to board a private shuttle that takes you up through the lush Tijuca Forest to the breathtaking Pedra Bonita ramp, located 520 metres (1,700 feet) above sea level.
At the ramp, take in panoramic views of Rio, capture amazing photos, and watch other paragliders take off. Your instructor will guide you through a quick takeoff simulation to make sure you’re 100% comfortable and ready for flight.
When it’s your turn, you’ll step onto the ramp with your instructor. After a final safety check by our certified inspector, cameras are turned on, and it’s time to soar!
The Flight
The average flight time is about 10–15 minutes, but conditions may allow it to last up to 30 minutes. As you glide silently over the city, you’ll see some of Rio’s most iconic landmarks from a whole new perspective — Pedra Bonita, Pedra da Gávea, Rocinha, Morro Dois Irmãos, Christ the Redeemer, and the golden beaches of São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca.
Your instructor will also capture stunning 360° videos and photos, especially during a low flyover of the ocean just before landing.
️ The Landing
Touch down gently on either the beach or the grassy landing zone beside the flight club. After landing, all your photos and videos are instantly transferred to your phone — ready to share with the world!
