What you can expect

  • The Mugello encompasses all the most beautiful and typical aspects of the Tuscan landscape.
It is located a few kilometres north of Florence and is linked to the capital of Tuscany not only by its geographical proximity. It has been a source of food and culture for the city over the centuries, a place of leisure and enjoyment for the Florentine nobility. Great artists such as Giotto, Fra Angelico and Benvenuto Cellini lived there, and the Medici family originated from Mugello.
Visiting Mugello by bike means cycling along country roads among vineyards and olive groves, where the slopes are gentle and the ups and downs lull the traveller as they discover the area. The pace should be leisurely, to appreciate the scents of nature and take in the beauty of our surroundings, so cycling is the perfect way to enjoy an authentic experience.
Get to Vicchio, a picturesque village of medieval origin, also by train directly from Florence station.
