What you can expect

  • Day 1: From Coast to Clouds – Conquering the Majestic K50

    The expedition departs from Quy Nhon at 06:00 AM. You will cross the An Khe Pass, the historic gateway between the coastal plains and the Central Highlands. Upon arriving at the Kon Chu Rang Nature Reserve, the real adventure begins with a trek through pristine transitional tropical forests. This trek offers a rare chance to see century-old heritage trees and learn about the “Forest Spirits” from local folklore.

    The crown jewel is the K50 Waterfall (Hang En), a 54-meter-high wonder dropping from a massive cliff. The name “Hang En” (Swiftlet Cave) refers to the thousands of swiftlets nesting in the vast cavern behind the water curtain. After a gourmet BBQ lunch in the jungle , you can swim in the crystal-clear natural pools at the top of the falls.

    The evening in Mang Den is an immersive cultural celebration. You will wear authentic hand-woven costumes, join a sacred fire-lighting ceremony, and play UNESCO-recognized Gongs under the guidance of village elders. The night concludes with a communal feast, Xoang traditional dance, and “Ruou Can” (tube wine) by the bonfire.

    Day 2: Xo Dang Heritage & Serenity at Upper Kon Tum Lake

    Start your morning with Mang Den's famous coffee before trekking into Kon Tu Ma Village, home to the Xo Dang people. Here, you will discover the unique “Granary Culture”—elevated wooden storehouses built separately from homes to protect the community’s rice from fire and wildlife.

    The afternoon takes you to Upper Kon Tum Lake, a vast reservoir meandering through ancient forests. You will board a boat to reach a floating house situated next to a hidden waterfall. Lunch features fresh “Royal fish” (Sturgeon or Nieng fish) caught from the cold headwaters. The journey winds back through scenic passes, returning to Quy Nhon by 07:00 PM.
