What you can expect

  • Escape to the tranquil beauty of Pyhäjärvi Lake near Pyhä-Luosto National Park for an unforgettable ice fishing experience. Surrounded by the silence of the wilderness, you'll learn the traditional Finnish way of fishing, often referred to as “Finnish meditation.” Guided by a professional, you'll drill a hole in the frozen lake and drop your line, waiting for perch, white fish, or rainbow trout to bite.

As you gaze into the ice hole, the serene atmosphere clears your mind, while the thrill of a tug on your fishing rod awakens your hunting instincts. If you're lucky, your catch will be cooked over an open fire, turning your fishing adventure into a delicious lakeside meal.

Your experience includes all necessary fishing gear, warm drinks, and snacks to keep you comfortable in the cold. Lucky Ranch, the starting point, is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Pyhätunturi ski resort. Transport options are available, making it easy to reach this winter wonderland.

Whether you're a seasoned angler or a curious beginner, this 2-hour activity offers relaxation, excitement, and a taste of Finnish traditions.
