What you can expect

  • Follow an expert guide along the famous beaches of the California coast. See the extravagant amusement park at Santa Monica Pier, the offbeat oddness on the Boardwalk at Venice Beach, the bodybuilders at Muscle Beach, and recognisable celebrity homes in the hills of Malibu.

Start your excursion with a hotel pickup and head to Third Street Promenade, where you can explore the upscale shopping, dining and entertainment in Santa Monica's city centre. While you're there, learn the fascinating history of the area's beaches and towns from your guide.

Next, take a stroll along Santa Monica Pier and get a look at the lively Pacific Park with its solar-paneled Ferris wheel. Make sure to check out the beachgoers pumping iron at Muscle Beach Venice and meander between the colourful stalls and kid-friendly rides.

Finish the day with a relaxing visit to the hills of Malibu, where grand, luxurious celebrity homes crowd the winding coastline, and get some breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
