What you can expect

You will visit Konavle, which is one of the northeastern and western vineyards of the region, also has the appropriate production of quality and autochthonous wines. In addition to world-famous species such as merlot and cabernet sauvignon, numerous local and indigenous species are grown such as su plavac mali, vranac, kadarun, dalmatinka and others. Among them, a special place belongs to the autochthonous domestic variety Malvasia Dubrovačka bijela and Maraština which are almost destroyed and whose conservation restoration attaches special importance. Numerous Konavli wineries, following the world trends, produce authentic wines that are very much in line with local gastronomic specialities.
Visit a family winery and meet the local wine-maker. Learn all about the main characteristics of southern Dalmatian wine and how to produce it. Sample the best reds and whites on offer and don’t skip on the sweet dessert wines. At a vineyard, indulge in a typical brunch and feast on cheese, bacon, and bread.
After wine tasting you will visit Konavle's River Ljuta, see the lush greenery and natural beauty of the small national park and explore Sokol Tower Dubrovnik Republic's defensive fortress strategically situated at the border with former Ottoman Empire if you like. Located at the southern-most tip of Croatia, near the border of Montenegro, Konavle Valley is flanked by the Adriatic Sea and the foothills of Sniježnica Mountain. The valley boasts an ample number of vineyards, as the climactic and geological conditions are ripe for wine-making. Listen to your guide share the history of the area, as you travel from charming village to village, passing by olive orchards and citrus groves as your vehicle winds its way through the rural landscape.
