Overview

  • A private walk through the old centre of Gouda, ending with a tasting of four Gouda cheeses paired with a local Gouda beer.

    You start at the historic weighing house, where for centuries farmers from the wide area brought their cheese. Your guide then shows you the Gothic town hall, the St. John's Church, the longest church in the Netherlands, the former St. Catherine's guest house that now houses Museum Gouda, and the old fish market by the canal.

    Along the way, you hear stories about Gouda's churches, canals and old facades, and the history behind the city's famous cheese.

    The tour ends at a cheese bar in the centre for the tasting.
