After a short drive from Salzburg you’ll reach the castle of Fuschl. Capture a picture of the castle of Fuschl with the emerald-green Lake Fuschlsee as its backdrop, before heading on to St. Gilgen with Lake Wolfgang, the next photo stop.

They used the castle of Werfen for the Eagle’s Nest in the film Where Eagles Dare with Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton, not the original location in the Bavarian Alps. Enjoy the bird-of-prey show conducted by historic State Falconers, mainly featuring native free-flying raptors and the 11th-century fortress by itself!
