Cusco
  • 3h
On Day 1, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 6:30 a.m. to begin the journey along the “Route of the Sun” towards the city of Puno. This scenic trip is done aboard a tourist bus with several cultural and archaeological stops. The route includes visits to the town of Oropesa, known for its traditional bread, followed by a stop in Andahuaylillas, where you will see the Church of San Pedro, often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of America” due to its remarkable colonial artwork from the 16th century. Like many Spanish religious constructions of the time, it was built over an ancient Inca sacred site.
Puno

The tour continues to Chacacupe for a view of the Inca and colonial bridges, and then onward to Raqchi, an important archaeological complex featuring multiple structures, including the impressive Temple of Wiracocha, the main monument built in honour of the deity of the same name. After exploring Raqchi, you will enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani before continuing to La Raya, the highest point between Cusco and Puno at 4,338 metres above sea level, offering panoramic views of the snowcapped Andes. The last stop of the day is Pukara, known for its monolithic sculptures, colourful ceramics, and pre-Inca cultural remains. The journey concludes with your arrival in Puno around 5:30 p.m., followed by transfer to your hotel for the night.

  • Admission ticket included
On Day 2, you will be picked up from your hotel in Puno at 6:45 a.m. to embark on a full day boat tour of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The first visit of the day is to the Uros Floating Islands, unique artificial islands built from layers of totora reeds and inhabited by the ancestral Uros people, who preserve traditions that date back centuries. After learning about their culture and way of life, the boat continues towards Taquile Island, famous for its experiential tourism and for its textile art recognised by UNESCO. Visitors can walk along the island’s scenic paths, interact with the local community, and learn about their customs, rituals, and belief in protective mountain spirits, or Apus. Lunch is available on the island, where trout from the lake is the most recommended dish (lunch is not included).
Puno
  • 12h
The boat returns to Puno at approximately 5:00 p.m., where you may relax at your hotel or explore the city on your own. Later that evening, at 9:15 p.m., you will be picked up from your hotel for the overnight bus back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco is around 5:00 a.m. the next day, where the tour ends at the Cusco terminal. Throughout the experience, you will navigate Lake Titicaca, which stretches across the border between Peru and Bolivia. The lake is one of the largest in South America and is considered the mythical birthplace of the Inca civilisation. Its calm waters are known for their bright reflections, and the surrounding Titicaca National Reserve shelters rare aquatic species such as the giant Titicaca frog.
