What you can expect

Get the chance to experience what Ireland has to offer on this tour. These private tours are unique, off the beaten track and full of adventure. Our guides who are outdoor instructors and passionate about Ireland's culture and heritage, take you on a full day tour into the heart of Ireland.

Depart from your accommodation and travel to our hiking location in the morning. Hike up Slieve Foye, take in the birds-eye view of the magnificent landscape and hear about the many Irish folklore stories about Queen Meabh, the brown bull of Cooley and the mighty Cuchulainn. Visit the quaint, colourful and picturesque village of Carlingford nestled in between the foot of the Cooley Mountains and Carlingford Lough.

Have lunch in a unique farm cafe which is both florist, health food shop and cafe serving tasty home-made vegetarian pizzas, salads, cakes and more.

Visit the Boyne Valley and its historic ruins of early Christian settlement including its famous 35 metreround tower and two of the finest carved High Crosses in Ireland. Hear about how the monks sought refuge in the round tower from the notorious Viking raids.

At the end of the day, there is the option to stop off in an authentic local Irish pub for a pint to quench the thirst after the day's activities before returning back.

Come enjoy a beautiful Ireland that we are proud of and want to share with you. This is a full day tour departing your accommodation location at 8.30am and returning at 18.00pm.
