What you can expect

  • In the morning after breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide and driver will meet you in your hotel lobby and transfer you to the pier. Board a traditional wooden boat and cruise across Tonle Sap Lake to Prek Toal Floating Village.

    Visit the Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve, then take another boat to explore the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary and floating village. Prek Toal is the largest bird sanctuary in Southeast Asia and the best place for birdwatchers.

    Its biosphere covers 31,282 hectares at the northwestern tip of Tonle Sap Lake and hosts species including Greater and Lesser Adjutants, Black-headed Ibis, Painted Stork, Milky Stork, Spot-billed Pelican, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, and many more species.

    Of the three biosphere core areas on Tonle Sap Lake, Prek Toal is the most popular with birdwatchers.

    Your entrance fees help promote responsible tourism in Cambodia and contribute to conserving the area, especially by educating children and villagers about the importance of the birds and the unique flooded forest environment.
