Overview

Discover Porto's UNESCO historic centre on a walking tour led by an expat guide. From the hilltops down to the vibrant Ribeira riverfront and the Sé Cathedral viewpoints, this tour will take you through the city's most iconic sights.

After a short introduction about Portugal and Porto city we will proceed to Cedofeita area to see some unexpected hidden gem then we will admire the iconic twin churches of Igreja do Carmo with its azulejos.

From Parque de Virtudes enjoy the view of the Torre dos Clérigos. Descending from here we will reach Palacio da Bolsa then the river side Ribeira. We will ascend to Se' Porto Cathedral, a medieval fortress-church where we will finish our tour by seeing an amazing view of Gaia.

Throughout our journey there will be a chance for a break. You will gain local insights into Porto's history, architecture, and foodies / extra activities recommendations. Depending on traffic, construction work and weather the tour might experience a slight change of route.

Discover Porto's UNESCO historic centre on a walking tour led by a local expat guide. Offered in English and Italian for international visitors, this tour will take you through the city's most iconic and hidden sights. We will begin close to the Trinidade Central Metro in Porto with our meeting point at (Trinity Porto Mall). After a short introduction about Portugal and Porto city we will make our way to Av. dos Aliados, a grand civic avenue to enjoy an amazing view of this square and monument. Throughout our journey there will be the chance for some breaks and you will gain local insights into Porto's history, architecture, hidden stories and foodies / extra activities recommendations.

Cedofeita

We will proceed to Cedofeita area to see some unexpected hidden gem and learn more about the city development.

Igreja do Carmo

We will proceed to Cedofeita for to see some unexpected hidden gem then we will admire the iconic twin churches of Igreja do Carmo with its azulejos. The tourists will be allowed to self visit the church for 10 minutes

Livraria Lello (Pass by)

We will pass by the famous Livraria Lello, (seeing from the outside) often called the world's most beautiful bookshop.

Torre dos Clerigos (Pass by)

Enjoy the outside view of the Baroque Torre dos Clérigos and its church while listening to the stories of this fascinating place.

Passeio das Virtudes

Stroll through the hilltop gardens of Parque das Virtudes to view the Atlantic Ocean and an amazing view of Vila Nova de Gaia and the gardens of Virtudes and Palacio de Cristalo

Ribeira Square

From the hilltops down to the vibrant Ribeira riverfront. Descending from the hill we will pass by Palacio da Bolsa then the river side Ribeira to admire the Bridge Luis I and Vila Nova de Gaia.

Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral) (Pass by)

Passing by Sao Bento Station, we will continue to the Se' Porto Cathedral, a medieval fortress-church (seeing from the outside) watching the old Porto quarter, learning more about Vila Nova de Gaia while taking a stunning view of the river Douro
