Overview

The Port of Leith Distillery is a remarkable new landmark in Edinburgh’s historic whisky district of Leith. This is the UK’s first vertical whisky distillery - in fact, nobody has built anything quite like this anywhere in the world!

This is our flagship 90-minute experience. Explore the incredible architecture of our building, understand whisky production like never before, fill your very own miniature bottle of our spirit, taste your way through an extensive selection of samples and discover the storey of two whisky fans from Edinburgh who went from dreaming on a sofa to operating the world’s tallest distillery.

  • Please be aware that you will be touring through a production facility with open grate flooring. There are plated walkways throughout, however we advise that you wear sensible footwear - high heels, cleated cycling shoes & open toe shoes are not permitted on the tour.

Tour & Tasting £30pp - 90 minutes During your tour you’ll hear the storey of two Edinburgh friends who wanted to make an extraordinary whisky, work your way through our remarkable vertical distillery layout then fill & label your very own bottle of our New Make spirit. Hear the storey of our company’s unlikely inception. Explore the world’s tallest distillery. Fill your own miniature bottle of our New Make spirit. Take a seat in the QC LAB and understand whisky-making like never before with a tasting that takes you right the way through the production & maturation process. Enjoy this guided tasting of our New Make spirits, port, sherry and Table Whisky. Distillery Dash £20pp - 60 minutes Short on time yet still want to hit all the high notes of our unique distillery? With the Distillery Dash you will experience the top 3 tour elements listed above then finish with a wee taste of our Table Whisky. This tour does not include the guided tasting in the QC Lab.
