This experience is an invitation to see Florence in a different light, to slow down and transform an image into a unique item.
The meeting point is Fatacadabra, a typical Florentine artisanal workshop where Natascia and Leo create their illustration and photography works. Together with Leo, an experienced professional photographer, you'll stroll through iconic places and hidden corners of the city on a photo walk during which you'll take Polaroid photographs and discover how the camera works. After taking the photos, we will take a coffee break to observe the development of the image and let the photograph complete its process.
Back in the workshop, you will discover the Polaroid Emulsion Lift process: an analogue photography technique that allows you to separate the image from the original medium and transfer it to watercolour paper. With water, brushes, and delicate gestures, you can shape the contours of the photograph and transform it into a small personal work of art.
All materials are included: Polaroid, paper, tools, and the final passe-partout.
The experience combines a city exploration and a creative workshop, and is designed for those who want to take home an authentic souvenir made with their own hands.
