Upon arrival, embark on a 2-hour walk in Plovdiv’s old town with a convenient audio-guide in your chosen language. Discover the city’s rich history, which spans Thracian, Roman, Byzantine, Medieval Bulgarian, Ottoman, Revival Bulgarian, and Soviet periods. Stroll through the old Revival houses from the 19th century, admire the Roman theatre and stadium, and take in the views from Nebet Hill. Walk along the high street, officially the longest pedestrian street in Europe. In this area you will also find a lot of restaurants, where you can have a lunch break. Or if you are interested in wines, we will recommend you a great place with a cosy atmosphere, where you will be able to try some of the most popular local wines. After the lunch break, you can check some of the souvenir shops in the central area or visit some of the popular museums such as Klianti house or the Big Basilica. At around 3:30 PM, begin your journey back to Sofia, arriving at your hotel by 5:30 PM.
