What you can expect

  • Embark on a journey along the majestic Douro River, nestled in the heart of the world's oldest wine demarcated region and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Begin your adventure from Pinhão, where you'll board a boat that will take you to the mouth of the River Tua. Enjoy a leisurely 1-hour cruise upstream along the Douro River. Upon reaching Tua, disembark from the boat and commence your kayak expedition back to Pinhão.

    Immerse yourself in the stunning scenery of terraced vineyards adorning the hillsides as you paddle along the 12-kilometer route back to Pinhão.

    This activity is for experienced participants, as the descent will take at least 3 hours and there is a possibility of currents.

    If a pickup is required, it is not included.
