Spend your day in Phnom Penh learning about the city's past and more recent history with a local driver who will also guide you from outside of the tourist attractions before going inside yourself. Explore museums, parks, monuments, and the streets via a Tuk-Tuk or Van, and enjoy a local lunch.

First, stop:
The most significant sites in Phnom Penh is Wat Phnom and Lady Penh Statue. Before visiting the actual Temple, you will see the statue of Lady Penh, who Phnom Penh is named after. The guide/driver will tell you the storey before taking the steps up to the Wat (Temple).

Second, see Wat Onnalom, Onnalom Buddhist Temple .
Learn about its 15th-century foundation. Learn why it is one of the most important monasteries in Phnom Penh.

Third, Continue to the National Museum to admire one of the best examples of traditional Cambodian architecture.

Fourth: The Royal Palace and silver pagoda, seeing the Cambodia royal families and custom clothes

Five: the Cambodian Vietnam Friendship Monument commemorates the former alliance between the two countries. It is located not far from the Royal Palace in Botum Park.

Six: From here, you’ll continue to see the King Norodom Sihanouk Statue, which stands impressively on the largest park strip in Phnom Penh.

Seven: Next. You’ll see the striking Independence Monument, representing the independence of Cambodia from French colonisation.

Eight: The last stop before lunch is at the Genocide Museum. Then, make a lunch stop at a local restaurant before heading to Killing Fields

Nine: the Killing Fields, followed by The Russian Market – a great place to pick up Khmer products for souvenirs.

Note: inside the Killing Field and Genocide Museum, you can use the audio guide to learn about the history of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Ten: Finally, explore the satellite city or the “Paris to Phnom Penh”, Diamond Island. Along the way you will see the Patriarch of Monks Statue, the Buddhist Institute, the Cambodian Parliament Building, ChinaTown, and Mekong Upper and Mekong Lower, Tonle Sap and Tonle Bassac.
