What you can expect

  • Get ready to explore Perugia through the eyes and stories of two visionaries: Luisa Spagnoli and Giovanni Buitoni. An itinerary through palaces, streets and places that have seen the birth of bold ideas and unforgettable ventures: starting from Luisa's birthplace and passing by the first workshop, we will cross the city while telling the storey of a company that also intersects with their love storey. Corso Vannucci will be the setting for telling you why Luisa Spagnoli is better known for her fashion house than as the inventor of the Bacio Perugina. This is not just a simple stroll, but an intriguing and fascinating journey that will immerse you in the atmosphere of a bygone era and give you a better understanding of the Perugia that made history.

    The stops:

    1. Via Cartolari 16 – Luisa's birthplace

    2. LAB – Via Alessi

    3. Palazzo dei Priori – Giovanni Buitoni, Mayor

    4. Luisa Spagnoli – the history of angora and the fashion house

    5. Piazza della Repubblica Shop – How the Bacio was created and the marketing successes of the 1920s and 1930s

    6. Covered Market Terrace – Luisa's death and Perugina's expansion worldwide
