What you can expect

  • The Peljesac Peninsula is the jewel in Croatia's winemaking crown and makes an enchanting day trip from Dubrovnik. Discover acres of vineyards as you stop at 3 family-run wineries with delicious tastings along the way and then visit the walled coastal village of Ston.

Meet your expert guide at your Dubrovnik hotel and take the 1-hour journey through gorgeous Croatian countryside to the village of Ston. Known for containing the “Great Wall of Croatia,” believed to be the longest wall outside of China, this medieval coastal settlement is a beautiful spot for a stroll and a great introduction to what the Peljesac Peninsula has to offer.

Learn from your guide how the area is blessed with the perfect grape-growing climate and soil conditions as you make your way to the first of 3 locally-owned wineries. As you tour vineyards and cellars, learn about the principle grape used in Croatian wine, Plavic Mali.

After exploring 3 wineries and sipping plenty of varieties of red and white wines, stop at the small village of Trstenik on your trip back to Dubrovnik. Take a picturesque walk through the unspoiled streets and learn about local Croatian life before making your way back to your hotel.
