Our journey begins with a visit to the famous EDRO III shipwreck near Peyia, a striking cargo vessel that ran aground in 2011. Resting just metres from the rocky shoreline, the shipwreck has become an iconic landmark and a favourite photography spot. The contrast between the rusting ship and the deep blue sea creates a unique and atmospheric scene, especially with the surrounding sea caves and rugged coastline adding to the wild beauty of the area.
We then continue towards the breathtaking Avakas Gorge, one of the natural highlights of the Akamas region. Here, you will enjoy a guided hike of approximately 1.5 hours through the gorge. Towering limestone walls rise high above, in some places narrowing to just a few metres, creating a truly impressive natural corridor.
