Our exciting tour starts early, when our driver choices you up directly at your hotel's lobby or Airbnb. Our first stop is at San Martin Tilcajete; a town known for its alebrijes. Once you get there, you will feel as if you have crossed a portal to a magical world of alebrijes. These creatures that are carved out of wood are hand-painted and full of vibrant colours. They are the soul of Oaxacan handcrafts

After learning about the elaboration process of these fantastic figures and with the help of a master craftsman, you will be able to paint your own alebrijes. You will be given a small figure, a paintbrush and paint. It is your moment to decorate your own chosen piece. Immerse yourself in the colours and let your imagination run free.

The tour ends around 2:00 pm when we drop you off at your hotel or Airbnb along with your work of art and memories that will be with you forever.

In order to enjoy this experience to the fullest, we recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and that you don't mind getting dirty, since the paint can splatter. Also, be sure to wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, as you will be walking and working with your alebrije during the creative process.
