What you can expect

Have you seen the large grandfather clock by Justus Möser in the Town Hall foyer? Have you already marvelled at the impressive 1633 model of the city on the ground floor? Do you know the storey behind the golden pineapple goblet in the Treasury Room? No? Then join us on our guided tour of Osnabrück City Hall!
Visit the historic Peace Hall and experience first-hand where history was made in Osnabrück's City Hall! The dove on the large door handle at the entrance portal shows that this building is a symbol of peace. It is already the city's second town hall and is over 500 years old. The building was completed in 1512, which meant it could be used for the negotiations for the Peace of Westphalia. These negotiations took place in Osnabrück and Münster starting in 1643 and brought an end to the Thirty Years' War. Did the ambassadors really negotiate in the Peace Hall? Find out on this tour!
