Overview

  • Craft a little piece of Kyoto to take home with you.

Step into our Gion workshop and turn a simple piece of wood into your own handcrafted Japanese chopsticks.

You’ll work with traditional tools to shape and smooth your chopsticks by hand, while our instructors guide you through the process from start to finish. It’s easy to follow, satisfying to make, and no crafting experience is required.

Want to make them even more special? Personalise your chopsticks with an optional engraving of your name, initials, or favourite word.

At the end, you’ll walk away with more than just a souvenir — you’ll have something useful, personal, and made entirely by you.

A relaxing and creative experience to enjoy during your time in Kyoto, whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, with friends, or with family.
