What You'll See and Experience:
Santa Bárbara Beach and Casa-Matas: We begin our tour along the vibrant north coast by visiting the expansive Santa Bárbara Beach, one of the largest black sand beaches on the island. Here, we will explore the historic Casa-Matas, military structures that tell the storey of Azorean coastal defence.
Historic Centre of Ribeira Grande: Our second stop takes us to the heart of Ribeira Grande.
Ponta do Cintrão: We continue to Ponta do Cintrão, a coastal viewpoint that offers spectacular views of the cliffs, the ocean, and the surrounding landscape. It’s the perfect spot to experience the power and beauty of Azorean nature.

Regional Lunch: We will take an essential break for lunch (all-you-can-eat buffet included in your tour). Enjoy a full meal at a local restaurant, where you can sample authentic Azorean cuisine and recharge your batteries.
Ribeira dos Caldeirões: After lunch, we will arrive at the famous Ribeira dos Caldeirões Natural Park. This is one of the highlights of the Northeast, with its stunning waterfalls and preserved watermill, a true picture-postcard scene.
Nordeste Village: We will visit the picturesque Nordeste Village. You will have time to admire its iconic bridge and soak up the laid-back pace of local life.
Ponta do Sossego Viewpoint: We continue our adventure at the Ponta do Sossego Viewpoint, one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Stroll along its flower-lined paths and enjoy panoramic views of the cliffs and the ocean.
Vista dos Barcos Lookout: We will stop at the Vista dos Barcos Lookout, which offers another fantastic view of the east coast, particularly stunning on sunny days.
Arnel Lighthouse: Our final scenic stop is at the Arnel Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in the Azores.
In the late afternoon, we will begin the return journey, taking you back to your accommodation.
