Spend a remarkable day learning about the historic D-Day landings and remember the sacrifices made at Normandy. On this poignant trip, visit Omaha Beach, the ruins of the artificial harbour at Arromanches and the American Cemetery, and eat lunch at the Mémorial de Caen.

Drive from Paris through the scenic Normandy countryside and start your visit at the Mémorial de Caen for a relaxing lunch. Visit the Pointe du Hoc, site of the D-Day battle, before making your way to the poignant American Cemetery at Saint Laurent. You will have some free time here to go for a walk along Omaha Beach or explore the informative visitor’s centre.

A drive along the coast takes you to Arromanches and the ruins of the artificial port, built by the Allies in less than 15 days. Finally, make a stop at the Canadian Memorial at Juno Beach. Throughout the day, your guide provides commentary at each site and explains how D-Day and the Battle of Normandy unfolded.

Would’ve been nice to spend a little more time at the beaches, and historical landmarks, and less at the museum. We spent 2+ hours there, and rushed through everything else.

Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic delaying our return - when a trip is that long time should be allowed for dinner

Juno Beach was to be the apex of my trip to France. Clearly well before my time but, important enough to me with my former Regiment having come ashore on the 6th of June. After 10 hours by coach with several stops - we received a grand total of 15 minutes at the Juno Centre. With the coach engine running after 10 minutes. The "guide" who was long on talk and very short on accurate detail seemed less than considerate of its importance to me. I had to check using my phone to assure her the centre would still be open. If it hadn't been for an American Vet pretending to have issues, I am not sure we would have received that much time. Not well organized!
