- Pick-up and Scenic Drive to Neuschwanstein Castle
Your tour begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Sit back and relax as your driver takes you through picturesque Bavarian countryside, heading towards the fairy-tale Neuschwanstein Castle. It takes about 1 hour 40 minutes to get to the castle from the centre of Munich.
Stop 1. Walk Along Alpsee Lake: Next, you will take a peaceful walk along the shores of Alpsee Lake, nestled at the foot of the castle. The crystal-clear waters and the towering Alps create a stunning backdrop that is perfect for a relaxing stroll and photos.
Stop 2. Mary‘s Bridge: With your driver you will take a short bus ride to Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge), a famous bridge offering one of the best panoramic views of Neuschwanstein Castle. From here, you’ll have the opportunity to see the castle in all its glory, perched high above the forested valley. The view from Marienbrücke is truly magical and one of the most iconic sights in all of Germany.
Stop 3: Neuschwanstein Castle.
You will take a scenic walk to the castle’s entrance, enjoying stunning views of the surrounding Alps and Alpsee Lake. . Afterwards, you will explore the castle’s magnificent rooms, including the Throne Room and King Ludwig’s private chambers. We will visit a castle with an audio-guided official tour. Private tours are not allowed.
Stop 4. Linderhof Palace
Next, your driver will take you within 1 hour to the magnificent Linderhof Palace, one of King Ludwig II’s most famous creations.
