The Langtang valley, though only a few hours away from Kathmandu, is unique because of its close approximation to Tibet and relative un-commercialization. Known also as the valley of glaciers, Langtang is rich in biodiversity, picturesque landscapes and magnificent views of prominent peaks like Langtanglirung, Yala peak, and Gangchhenpo among others. One can also extend a trek in the Nepal Langtang region to visit the sacred lake of Gosainkunda and incorporate a trek to Helambu via Laurebina pass.
“Lantang valley is the most beautiful green valley in the world.”- Bill Tilman, legendary mountain explorer.
