If you would like a guide in another language, please select the Other Language Guide Add-on during booking.
If you select the Other Language Guide Add-on or Private Car / Van Upgrade, please book at least 24 hours before your desired tour time so we have enough time to confirm availability and prepare your requested service.

For private car or van requests for groups of more than 8 people, please book in advance so we have enough time to contact you and arrange the appropriate vehicle. We also have larger vehicles, including buses, available for bigger groups.

This is a private customisable tour. Before your experience, you can discuss your preferred locations with your guide. Your route will be adjusted based on your interests, available time, and travel pace.

A typical experience includes visiting selected Nara locations with your guide, with travel time between locations included within your tour duration.

Approximate schedule estimates:
• 3 hours: Around 2 locations
• 4–5 hours: Around 3 locations
• 6–7 hours: Around 3–4 locations
• 8 hours: Around 4–5 locations

These are estimates only. Every group has its own pace depending on walking speed, time spent at each location, and personal preferences.

Most locations can be explored on foot, while transport between farther locations may be by public transport such as trains and buses unless a private vehicle upgrade is selected.

For a more comfortable experience, you can add a private vehicle with a professional driver.

The vehicle upgrade includes 10 hours of private driver service, regardless of the number of guide hours selected.
Please note that the vehicle pickup time does not need to be the same as your guide meeting time. After booking, you can let us know your preferred pickup time and location through, and the 10-hour service period will begin from that time.
