Todai-ji Temple

Todaiji Temple is a must-see in Nara, famous for housing the Great Buddha (Daibutsu), one of the largest bronze statues of Buddha in the world. This iconic temple, built in the 8th century, is also home to the Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), once the largest wooden building on earth.
