Challenge yourself with an exciting guided hike to the summit of Mount Longonot, one of Kenya’s most iconic dormant volcanoes located in the Great Rift Valley.

After an early morning pickup from Nairobi, drive through the scenic Rift Valley escarpment with a brief viewpoint stop for photos. Upon arrival at Mount Longonot National Park, begin your ascent along the well-marked trail leading to the crater rim.

The hike to the top takes approximately 2–3 hours depending on your pace. Once at the rim, enjoy panoramic views of the massive crater floor and surrounding landscapes. For the more adventurous, continue walking around the entire crater rim (approximately 7.2 km), offering dramatic viewpoints from every angle.
