What you can expect

Our journey begins in the heart of Mount Lebanon, where nature, spirituality, & ancient legends intertwine. Once we leave the city behind, the landscape slowly transforms into hills and dramatic mountain roads, setting the tone for a day of discovery and reflection.

Our 1st stop is Saint Charbel’s Hermitage (Mar Charbel – Annaya), a place of deep serenity and spiritual energy. Tucked into the mountainside, the hermitage is where Saint Charbel lived in solitude, prayer, and simplicity. Walking the stone paths, you’ll feel the stillness that drew pilgrims from around the world. The scent of incense, the whisper of the wind through the trees, and the panoramic views over the Qadisha Valley create a powerful sense of peace and contemplation.

From there, the journey continues towards Saydet El Qarn, one of Lebanon’s most breathtaking viewpoints. Perched high above the surrounding valleys, this scenic spot offers sweeping views of rugged mountains, deep gorges, and distant villages clinging to the slopes. It’s a perfect pause to take photos, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and appreciate the raw beauty of Lebanon’s landscape. Next, you’ll visit Saydet El Habs (Our Lady of the Imprisonment), a secluded and lesser-known shrine carved into the rock. This intimate site tells a storey of faith, endurance, and hope. Its quiet setting, surrounded by nature, invites visitors to slow down and absorb the spiritual atmosphere that defines many of Lebanon’s sacred places.

The highlight of the day is the majestic Afqa Waterfall, one of Lebanon’s most iconic natural wonders. Here, water bursts dramatically from a cave high in the cliff, cascading into a lush valley below. Afqa is not only a natural spectacle but also a place steeped in mythology. According to ancient Phoenician legend, this is where Adonis, the god of beauty and rebirth, was wounded, and where his blood turned the river red each spring. Standing before the waterfall, you’ll hear the roar of the water, feel the cool mist on your skin, and sense the powerful connection between nature and myth that has captivated people for thousands of years.

As an optional stop we can drop by the surprise of the day: Noah’s millennial olive trees, living witnesses to Lebanon’s ancient agricultural heritage. These majestic trees, with their twisted trunks and deep roots, are said to be thousands of years old. Walking among them is like stepping back in time, surrounded by symbols of peace, resilience, and continuity. You’ll learn about traditional olive cultivation and the deep cultural significance of olive oil in Lebanese life, while enjoying the calm and timeless atmosphere of the grove.

This immersive experience blends nature, spirituality, history, and legend—offering not just sights to see, but stories to feel and memories to carry long after the journey ends.
