My name is Marlly, a resident of Comuna 13 and a local guide. I will meet you in the 20 de Julio area of Comuna 13. We will start with the history of the place, with some photographs from the past and present. We will see a dance show with voluntary contributions for young people who changed their lives through art. Then we will visit the foundation, where we will eat the typical maracango or coconut ice cream. We will do the “tak”, the graffiti itself, learning a little about the culture that changed the life of a community. We will see art galleries in works and in neon, escalators and connections along the pedestrian paths, alleys, entrances, and exits. I am very passionate about social and community work and, at the same time, improving the quality of life for many people.
My goal with this sightseeing tour is to raise funds for the FunsaTour Foundation. I have been working with them for more than 5 years and have been a social leader in the community for 18 years. As a local resident, I have realised that not all of us are fortunate enough to make a living from tourism, and I have created this activity to support vulnerable communities in the area. 90% of our income goes to the community soup kitchen, where we nourish the dreams of many children. Come and learn about our project and discover it for yourself. You won't regret it.
