Flying over the Sassi and the Gravine is an adrenalin-pumping experience to get an unusual view of the rock-carved city.
One of our experienced pilots will take you high up in an ultralight aircraft to discover, from new and exciting perspectives, the enchanting landscapes of the Murgia plateau, while observing the sites of early Neolithic settlements.
We will allow you to enjoy from above the environmental and architectural wonders of the Sassi and the nearby Gravina; you will experience close connection between nature and human action, that has made them a unique site, a true historical cultural landscape (settlement, since the Neolithic period), protected by UNESCO since 1993. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed with a pre-flight safety briefing. You will have the opportunity to take fantastic photographs near the helicopter. Then, during the flight, the pilot will point out main points of interest and take some pictures and videos. This private helicopter flight is for up only a passenger.
The flight, however, does not end at the city of the Sassi but continues beyond the hills with an exciting view of the San Giuliano Lake nature reserve and the Bradano river valley, and then again over Montescaglioso dominated by its ancient Abbey, ending with a panoramic view of the arid landscapes of the badlands.
