Your adventure begins in the picturesque village of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, where you will meet your certified mountain guide. Before you get started, you will receive a short safety briefing and your professional communication equipment (walkie-talkie), ensuring that the group remains connected and safe throughout the hike.

We will begin our ascent to the summit of Mount Abantos, passing through lush pine forests and along historic trails that have witnessed centuries of Spanish history. As we gain altitude, you will feel the pure air of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Your guide will reveal the secrets of the local flora and fauna; keep your eyes peeled, as it is common to spot majestic griffon vultures soaring over the peaks or mountain goats among the rocks.

The most spectacular moment comes when you reach the natural viewpoints known as “the balcony of the kings.” From here, you'll enjoy a unique panoramic view of the Monastery of El Escorial.
