The reason for naming the mosque is due to the fact that after God Almighty commanded His Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, to turn towards Al-Aqsa Mosque in prayer and make it a qiblah for them, the Prophet Muhammad called on his Lord to return it to the qiblah of the prophets, which is the honourable Kaaba. ) In the second rak’ah, when the verses “written below” were revealed, the Prophet Muhammad changed the direction of the qiblah while performing the prayer itself towards the Sacred House, and the congregation of worshipers followed behind him and changed their qiblah towards the honourable Kaaba, and then the Prophet Muhammad advanced them until he arrived in front of them to complete the prayer as their imam as well. The first prayer was the same.

Wadi Al-Aqiq is one of the most famous valleys of Medina. The Bani Haritha Mosque, or Al-Mustarah Mosque, is a mosque located in Medina, Saudi Arabia. The mosque is located on the northwestern side of the Prophet’s Mosque, approximately 2500 metres from it, on Sayyid al-Shuhada Road. It was called Al-Mistrah because the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, took a rest during his return from the Battle of Uhud. It is also called the Bani Haritha Mosque because it was located in their homes. The word “restaurant” means a resting place. The place is of strategic importance for the defence of the city, as the starting point of the trench was dug. It was also from him that the army of Muawiya and its leader, Muslim bin Uqba al-Marri, entered the city.

Mount of Archers, or Mount Ainin, is a small mountain located next to Mount Uhud, north of the Prophet’s Mosque, about three kilometres from it, near Medina. It is the mountain on which the Prophet commanded the archers to station themselves in the Battle of Uhud, and they numbered fifty men, to protect the backs of the Muslims from the infiltration of the polytheists. But they disobeyed his command, thinking that the battle was over, so the polytheists took advantage of the mountain's absence of archers, so they attacked the Muslims, killing a large number of them.

The Martyrs' Cemetery is one of the most important Islamic monuments in Medina, located 5 km north of the Prophet's Mosque. It was named by this name because it contains the bodies of seventy honourable companions who were martyred in the Battle of Uhud, including the uncle of the Prophet Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib, who was called the Lion of God, and he was named by this name for his courage. The cemetery is located at the base of Mount Uhud, where Muslims buried their seventy martyrs after the end of the battle, including a lion. God Hamzah bin Abdul Muttalib and Musab bin Amir, may God be pleased with them. This mountain has a distinguished position in the hearts of Muslims. Great hadiths have mentioned its merits, and it is enough to say about it: “Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it.” The cemetery also includes the tombs of two companions, Abdullah bin Jahsh and Hanzala bin Abi Amer.

Historical sources mention that it overflowed with a great torrent several times, and people feared that it would sweep the city. In some sources, it was called the torrent of Hamzah bin Abd al-Muttalib because it passed through Uhud. As you remember that its course changed in the east of Medina in the year 654 AH, as in that year many climatic changes occurred, and Medina witnessed rain and an earthquake. To the north, a great lake gathered behind it, and it remained for several years in which groundwater abounded in farms. The valley ran northwards a little, moved away from residential areas, then continued its course south of Uhud, and its course continues to this day, overflowing when it rains.

Shaq al-Mihras is the place where the beloved, may God bless him and grant him peace, took refuge after the archers descended from the mountain of the archers in the Battle of Uhud. The supporters were defending the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: We did not do justice to our companions, and spread his quiver and said: Shoot Saad, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you. The narrations indicate that the Prophet prayed in the place of this mosque, as Ibn Shabah narrated on the authority of Rafi bin Khadij, that the Prophet prayed in the small mosque that is located in Uhud in Shaab al-Jarar on your right, adjacent to the mountain. On the authority of the Prophet, he said: “This is a mountain that loves us and we love it.” Muslims also see that the mountain is one of the mountains of Paradise, as Abu Abbas bin Jabr al-Sahabi narrated on the authority of the Prophet that he said: “Mount Uhud loves us and we love it, and it is one of the mountains of Paradise.” On the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: ((Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it, so if you come to it, eat from its tree, even if it is from its biters)). On the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ascended Uhud, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman, and he shivered with them, and said: ((Be firm, for you only have a prophet, a friend, and two witnesses)).
