Tuna Fishing in Limassol – a true sea adventure for those who crave excitement and a fresh catch.
If you dream of experiencing real sea hunting and catching a powerful, fast predator — the Albacore tuna (Thunnus alalunga) is waiting for you in the open waters off the coast of Cyprus. This tour is designed for those who want to combine the thrill of fishing, a scenic boat trip, and the gastronomic pleasure of the freshest sashimi prepared right on board.
The adventure begins – early morning departure
The tuna fishing trip starts early in the morning at 5:00 AM. At this time, tuna are most active and hunt near the water’s surface. We head into the open sea on a modern, well-equipped boat with everything needed for a comfortable and effective fishing experience. The spacious deck, professional gear, reliable sonar and navigation systems — every detail is in place for success.
Fishing method – trolling
The primary fishing technique used is trolling. Lures that mimic small fish are dragged behind the moving boat at a specific speed. This technique is ideal for targeting tuna, which strike the bait during their active feeding periods. Sometimes the bite happens instantly, followed by an intense fight with a strong, fast fish — a moment of pure adrenaline you’ll never forget.
Albacore – a prized trophy
Albacore tuna is one of the tastiest and most valuable species in the tuna family. Its meat is perfect for sashimi, grilling, tartare, or smoking. Known for its rich flavour and firm texture, it’s also a powerful swimmer, making the catch both thrilling and rewarding for any angler.
Fresh sashimi on board
After a successful catch, we offer a unique experience — preparing fresh sashimi right on the boat. With the tuna just pulled from the sea, you’ll taste its pure flavour while enjoying the breeze and sound of the waves. This is more than just fishing — it’s a true culinary experience at sea.
Rules and catch limits
According to Cyprus regulations in 2025, up to 3 Albacore tuna can be caught per trip. We strictly follow all legal and ecological guidelines to help preserve the marine ecosystem while ensuring our guests enjoy a safe and responsible fishing experience.
