What you can expect
Day 1: Lijiang Arrival & Lijiang Old Town
Upon arrival in Lijiang, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy free time exploring Lijiang Old Town, a UNESCO-listed gem known for its stone lanes, flowing canals, and willow trees reminiscent of Jiangnan. Wander around Sifang Street and take in the charming local atmosphere.
Day 2: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lashi Lake, Blue Moon Valley & Shuhe Ancient Town
After breakfast, head to Lashi Lake to experience Lijiang’s slower pace of life or retrace parts of the ancient Tea Horse Road. (Note: Lashi Lake is a self-paid attraction with various horseback routes available on-site.)
After lunch, continue to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, located 15 km north of Lijiang. Admire its impressive glacier peaks, then pass Ganhaizi and take an eco-shuttle to Baishui River and the stunning Blue Moon Valley.
Next, visit Shuhe Ancient Town, one of China’s most beautiful historical towns. Enjoy an immersive intangible-heritage experience including a traditional tea-roasting ceremony, hand-ground coffee, and a Dongba hand-drum activity. Slow down, sip tea, and feel the cultural spirit of this ancient Tea Horse Road post town.
After a self-arranged dinner, enjoy the Lishui Jinsha cultural performance (ticket valued at RMB 280). Return to your hotel afterwards.
Day 3: Lugu Lake, Liwubi Island, Lover’s Beach, Lige Viewpoint & Mosuo Culture
Depart early for the legendary “Kingdom of Women” — Lugu Lake, one of Yunnan’s most beloved destinations. Traverse scenic valleys, Naxi villages, and Yi minority areas. After lunch in Ninglang County, arrive at the Lugu Lake viewing platform for a breathtaking panorama.
Take a traditional pig-trough boat to Liwubi Island and visit Liwubi Temple. Then enjoy a 180° private vehicle lake tour. Stop at Lige Viewpoint, the best place to capture postcard-perfect photos of the lake’s tranquil waters.
In Xiao Luoshui Village, savour a Mosuo Walking Marriage Banquet, a traditional welcome feast. In the evening, join the joyful Mosuo Bonfire Party and celebrate with local villagers. Return to your hotel afterwards.
Day 4: Lugu Lake Sunrise, Mosuo Village & Return to Lijiang
After breakfast, visit a Mosuo family home to learn about the unique matriarchal traditions of the Mosuo people. Continue to the Grass Sea and walk across the iconic Walking Marriage Bridge, symbolising the Mosuo’s traditional courtship customs.
After lunch, drive back to Lijiang. Check in upon arrival and enjoy a relaxing evening. Dinner is at your own arrangement.
Day 5: Departure Transfer
After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable transfer to Lijiang Airport or Train Station, concluding your unforgettable Yunnan journey.
