The tour, starting from our beach in Letojanni, “JANKURA BEACH CLUB,” will take you along the beautiful, wide beaches of Letojanni and Taormina until you reach “SPISONE” and the first bay, called “BAIA DELLE SIRENE” or “BAIA DI SAN NICOLA,” known for its waters full of posidonia. Here, you'll find an ancient bay used by fishermen, known locally as “U PUTTICHIU.” Right next to it, you'll see a natural rock that, over time, has been eroded by the waves into the shape of an elephant, hence the name “SCOGLIO DELL'ELEFANTE” (Elephant Rock).
The tour will continue towards the “BAIA DI MAZZARO”, a location much sought after by luxury tourism because many important 5-star hotels are located in the gulf, among the most historic is the renovated Hotel Villa S.Andrea di Taormina.
Right after, we'll head south towards the “BLUE GROTTO and ISOLA BELLA” located inside the beautiful Taormina nature reserve with its crystal clear waters and natural pools full of marine life. Here you can swim and snorkel. Along the way, you'll visit the “CORAL GROTTO” where you can admire the red coral.
Right after stopping in the reserve and visiting the inside of the blue grotto, we'll continue sailing towards “CAPO TAORMINA” with the “FARAGLIONI” and the “SCOGLIO DEL FICO D'INDIA” as the backdrop.
Once you've passed the promontory, specifically the “SCOGLIO CON LA CROCE” (Rock with the Cross), a very important symbol for the old local fishermen, you'll find yourself in front of the evocative view of “ETNA” that will dominate the large and beautiful “BAY OF GIARDINI NAXOS”, the first Greek colony in Sicily. Crossing the bay of “VILLAGONIA,” you'll visit the “CAVE OF THE SUN,” also known as the “CAVE OF LOVE.” Here, the crew will share anecdotes and fun facts about its name.
After skirting part of the bay and spotting the old “GIARDINI-TAORMINA RAILWAY STATION,” the boat will stop for a break, where you can swim and snorkel.
Here, our staff will set up a small aperitif buffet for our guests on board, with typical Sicilian products, fresh fruit, prosecco, and various drinks.
Finally, we'll head back to the meeting point, where the beach staff and crew will help you disembark.
The experience will last about 3 hours in total.
