What you can expect

  • Step ashore in Leknes and discover the magic of the Lofoten Islands on a relaxed, small-group minivan tour built around cruise schedules — and timed to get you back to your ship with plenty of margin.

    CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS ONLY!

    Important notice before booking
On some dates, multiple ships dock in Leknes simultaneously. We can only offer pickup from one ship per date, so if we already have bookings from a different ship on your arrival date, we won't be able to take you on the tour.
Please check the dates and ships below before booking, and contact us if in doubt.

    Dates with existing bookings:
    19.06 ms Nieuw Statendam
    28.07 Viking Neptune

You're picked up right at Leknes/Gravdal cruise harbour. We travel in a comfortable 8 or 9-seater minivan, keeping the group to max 7 or 8 guests, and stop wherever the weather and light look best that day.

    What makes this tour different
Between stops, we talk about what life in Lofoten is actually like — the good, the strange, the funny, the chaotic. Overtourism, winter storms, fishing season, why every house is red. This is the side of Lofoten you don't get from a big bus tour.

Our guides live here. Lofoten isn't a destination to us, it's home — and that shapes how we run the tour: small groups, minivans instead of buses, and real respect for wildlife, private property, and the people in these villages.

Personal headsets — hear everything, or nothing
Your guide wears a microphone connected to a personal headset for each guest. No gathering around to hear over the wind, no straining at crowded viewpoints. Walk around, take photos, or just enjoy the scenery — and still hear the stories if you want to. Adjust the volume, or take the headset off completely and take in the landscape in silence.

    The stops
We make plenty of scenic stops, including the iconic Hamnøy Bridge, the yellow rorbuer of Sakrisøy, and the fishing villages of Reine and Å. Depending on conditions, we may also visit Ramberg Beach, Skagsanden Beach, or the Fredvang Bridges. The itinerary stays flexible on purpose — Arctic weather changes fast, and we'd rather chase the best light than stick to a script.

    Food, water and breaks
We don't make time for lunch breaks on this tour as the day is relatively short and we have much to see! Feel free to bring your own lunch packet. We also recommend bringing a small bottle of water to stay hydrated.

Back to your ship in good time
The tour is timed to your cruise departure with a comfortable buffer built in. We know the route, we know the schedule, and we'd rather end fifteen minutes early than have you watching the clock.
