DAY 1 – Cradle Mountain Explorer (Hobart to Launceston)
7:00 AM – Depart Hobart
Your adventure begins with an early departure from Hobart. After 1.5 hours, enjoy a break in Campbell Town—grab a coffee, stretch your legs, and prepare for the day ahead.
Sheffield – Town of Murals
After exploring Cradle Mountain, we head to Sheffield, a vibrant town full of hand-painted murals celebrating the region’s heritage and scenery.
Cradle Mountain National Park
We’ll arrive at Cradle Mountain’s visitor centre ready to explore one of Tasmania’s most iconic national parks. You’ll have 2 hours to walk the stunning Dove Lake Circuit or take shorter walks showcasing alpine landscapes, native flora, and glacial lakes.
Enchanted Forest & King Billy Pine Walks
Next, discover ancient forests covered in moss and filled with 4,000-year-old King Billy pines. Keep your eyes peeled for wombats, wallabies, and—if you're lucky—the elusive Tassie Devil. Depending on timing, you may also visit the historic Waldheim Chalet or the Pencil Pine Falls.
Arrive in Launceston (approx. 6:00 PM)
We’ll continue to Launceston with hotel drop-off in the CBD available.
DAY 2 – A Day at Wineglass Bay (Launceston to Hobart)
7:30 AM – Depart Launceston
We hit the road early, stopping in Campbell Town again for breakfast and a warm drink before continuing to Freycinet National Park.
For the Hikers
You’ll have up to 4 hours to explore at your own pace. Tackle the famous Wineglass Bay Lookout or ascend Mt. Amos for jaw-dropping views. Enjoy lunch on the trail and take in the pristine white sands and turquoise waters of Wineglass Bay.
For the Relaxed Explorers
Prefer a more chilled experience? Your guide will lead you on a moderate 40-minute hike to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. Afterwards, enjoy a scenic walk at Cape Tourville Lighthouse with panoramic coastal views.
Honeymoon Bay
Cool off with a swim at Honeymoon Bay, a local favourite known for its crystal-clear water, granite boulders, and peaceful beach setting.
Freycinet Marine Farm
Treat yourself to some of Tasmania’s best seafood—fresh oysters, prawns, and more—plus a glass of local wine if you choose. It’s the perfect reward after a day of walking and exploring.
Sweet Treat Stop
Before heading back, we’ll stop for a well-earned ice cream to wrap up your Tassie adventure on a high note.
Arrive in Hobart (approx. 5:45 PM)
We return to Hobart in the evening with drop-off available in the CBD.
What You Need to Know
This 2-day adventure is a combination of independent day tours. Accommodation is not included, giving you the freedom to choose what best suits your budget and style. Hotel pickup/drop-off is available in central Hobart and Launceston, with pickup points typically within 100–300m if your hotel isn’t listed.
