Discover the world of extra virgin olive oil right in its place of origin, among the Morainic Hills and Lake Garda. This experience at a family-run olive oil tourism farm combines scenery, culture, and taste in a true “sensory adventure” that is suitable for even the youngest visitors.
During the guided tour, you will learn about the history and culture of olive growing in the Garda area and visit the olive grove, accompanied by a description of the surrounding landscape and natural environment in which the farm is located, as well as nearby cultural attractions. You will then continue to the farm’s workshop and the storage rooms to learn how a quality oil is produced and preserved.
The highlight of the experience is the tasting: guided directly by the owner, you will smell and taste various oils in official tasting glasses, learning to recognise their aromas, intensity, and characteristics. You will taste 3 types of extra-virgin olive oil: Garda PDO, Selezione Premium, and Oro del Vajo, accompanied by bread with pâté, olives, and infusion-based condiments (such as chilli pepper, lemon, basil, rosemary, and garlic). This experience is designed to provide an in-depth look at the properties and uses of olive oil, using a simple, engaging, and practical approach.
Depending on the season, there may also be practical demonstrations: olive harvesting (October/November) or pruning (February–April). At the end of the tour, if you like, you can purchase olive oil and local products, including a cosmetics line made with Garda PDO olive oil.
