What you can expect

*Enjoy a fun and easy introduction to the world of traditional Kyoto craftsmanship in this hand fan–making workshop. Using colourful washi paper motifs and natural adhesive glue, you will decorate a classic Kyoto-style hand fan.

You can choose from four traditional Japanese motifs: cherry blossoms, morning glories, goldfish, and autumn grasses. While learning about the cultural meanings behind each design, you will enjoy creating your own fan step by step.

Once completed, take home your one-of-a-kind Kyoto souvenir — perfect for display or for use on warm days.
