Step beyond Kiruna’s main tourist routes and discover a quieter side of Arctic Lapland on this small-group wilderness experience. Instead of visiting the usual viewpoints, we head towards lesser-known landscapes selected for their atmosphere, light and sense of remoteness.

After pickup in Kiruna, your local guide takes you by comfortable minivan into surrounding forest and open tundra areas where large tour buses rarely operate. The route is flexible and adapted to weather and conditions, allowing us to focus on peaceful locations rather than fixed, crowded stops.

During the tour, we pause at carefully chosen wilderness viewpoints overlooking frozen rivers, snow-covered forests and wide Arctic horizons. These stops are not about rushing between sights — they are about experiencing scale, silence and the rhythm of northern nature.

You’ll also take a short guided walk through the forest to experience the stillness of the Arctic up close. Along the way, your guide shares insight into seasonal changes, wildlife tracks in the snow and everyday life above the Arctic Circle.

A key moment of the experience is our traditional wilderness campfire. In a calm natural setting, we gather around an open fire to warm up with hot drinks and Swedish fika. It’s a simple but authentic ritual that connects you to local outdoor traditions.

With a maximum of eight guests, this experience remains personal and unhurried — designed for travellers who value atmosphere, space and genuine local guiding over mass tourism.
