Arrive at Blacks Lagoon in Cappagh, just outside Kinsale, and check in at the venue before the tour begins. Your guide brings you through the brewery and distillery areas, explaining key stages such as mashing, fermentation, distillation, and maturation, plus how flavour is built with botanicals or barrel character.

Pick the route that suits your curiosity: the Black Beak Gin Tour focuses on traditional gin-making and Wild Atlantic botanicals, with tastings drawn from the five Black Beak flavours; Rum Voyager pairs distillery insights with stories of Kinsale’s pirate and seafaring past, followed by a choose-your-own tasting from Spiced, Golden, or the Rum Up range; The Blacks Beer Experience explores craft brewing from above the production floor and ends with three fresh beers poured straight from the source.

Your experience wraps up back at the Lagoon Bar, where you can take in the glass-box viewing area, browse the on-site shop for bottles and tins, or stay on for an extra drink after the tour.
