The experience continues with an exclusive workshop led by a local chef, who not only teaches you how to prepare the traditional Katxupa but also shares the history and Cape Verdeans’ connection to corn – a key ingredient in the country’s culture and sustainability. Traditionally cooked on Saturdays, Katxupa brings families together and is often enjoyed fried on Sundays for breakfast, served with a fried egg or fried fish. A full immersion in the flavours, aromas, and traditions of Cape Verde!
