What you can expect

  • Immerse yourself in the culinary traditions of Sri Lanka with a private cooking class in a beautiful village near Kandy. Get picked up from your accommodation and head to the village, where you’ll be greeted by your experienced instructor.

    Learn about the various spices and other plants used to flavour food with village vegetables, the different flavours made from those spices, the amount of spices added to the prepared food, and the spices used in each dish.

    Prepare a local type of rice, which you can eat with 3 types of local vegetables and a very popular rural dish, a deliciously prepared kos and polos curry, and a local type of malamu. In addition, you can choose what you want to make various desserts and various drinks.

    After your class, get dropped off back at your accommodation in Kandy.
