What you can expect

The tour begins with a pickup at your accommodation. Aboard a Jeep, you’ll cross Rio’s natural and urban landscape towards the Santa Teresa area. This historic area is known for its colonial architecture and is home to many contemporary artists. It also stands out for its cobblestone streets, community trams, and old mansions, which now house art galleries and cafes.

After exploring Santa Teresa, we prepare to enter Tijuca National Park. This oasis in the middle of the city is criss-crossed by trails, waterfalls, and extensive biodiversity. Here the Jeep ride ends, and we transfer to a vehicle adapted for the ascent to Corcovado Hill.

Excursion to Christ the Redeemer, symbol of Rio de Janeiro

At the top of Corcovado Hill, 710 metres above sea level, stands the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Inaugurated in 1931, it stands 38 metres tall and is a symbol of faith and Rio culture. It’s important to wear comfortable clothing, sun cream, and a light jacket, as temperatures can vary at the top.

At the foot of the monument, you’ll enjoy the best views of the city and Rio’s beaches. Guanabara Bay, the coasts of Copacabana and Ipanema, and Sugarloaf Mountain are some of the postcard views. There will be enough time to explore the area, take pictures and appreciate the panoramic view of the Marvellous City.

Doña Marta Lookout: Rio from a unique vantage point

Before going down, we stop at the Doña Marta lookout, near Corcovado Hill. This spot is known for its unique panoramic view of the city, with Christ the Redeemer at a unique angle and Sugarloaf Mountain in the background. Many people choose it to better appreciate the harmony between nature and Rio’s architecture.

The tour ends with the return to hotels and tourist meeting points. If you’re looking for an efficient and comprehensive way to explore Rio, this is the tour for you.

Reserve your spot and experience an unforgettable day in Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic destinations.
