This tour starts from our meeting point which is located in the heart of Istanbul. Your guide will meet you and you will start with the Hagia Sofia which hosted two religions over 1500 years. The tour will follow by Blue mosque which is the most popular mosque in Istanbul. It willl follow by under ground Basicila Cistern ( Roman water reservoirs ) with heads of Medusa turned upside down in the water. After this, the tour continues with a turkish coffee break at a 300 years old medrese ( former religious school ) here to enjoy the tranquility of the peaceful local cafe where locals get social.
We will follow with visiting the Grand bazaar which is the biggest ancient shopping centre in the word with 4000 indoor shops selling the local products. You can end your tour here or continue with your guide to shop suited in a 500 years old Caravanserai ( ancient hotel ) a rug store showing how the hand made rugs are made. Marvel the silk warms and see how they turn in to textile. This is a great place to learn about carpet waving and buying one if interested.
