Day 1: Iquitos - Capinurí Lodge
The tour starts with a pick-up from the airport or hotel in Iquitos, followed by a transfer to the tourist pier of Bellavista Nanay. During the trip a brief orientation of the city and a visit to the gastronomic area of the pier is offered. Afterwards, you will sail down the majestic Amazon River, with the possibility of spotting pink or grey dolphins. On the way you will visit the Kukama tribe, known for their ancestral wisdom, and Monkey Island, where you can interact with various species in their natural environment. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be provided with information on sustainability, followed by a typical lunch. In the afternoon, visitors can swim in the Amazon River. At sunset, the Amazonian landscape is observed and in the evening, after dinner, a night walk is taken to discover the fauna and insects of the jungle.
Day 2: Day 2: Capinurí Lodge
You start with sunrise and exotic bird watching on the banks of the river. After breakfast, you will visit Fundo, a wildlife rescue centre where you can see animals such as sloths and toucans. Afterwards, a tasting of Amazonian macerados takes place at El Trapiche. Afterwards, you will participate in an artisanal fishing for piranhas and other species, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a relaxing time at the lodge's swimming pool. After dinner, you will take a night excursion by canoe to observe caimans and learn more about their role in the ecosystem.
Day 3: Capinurí Lodge - Return to Iquitos
After breakfast, we take a guided botanical walk to learn about the main medicinal plants and trees of the jungle. Then you will sail along the Yanayacu River until you reach the path of giant trees, with the imposing Lupuna tree standing out. Finally, we visit the native Yaguas community to learn about their traditions and try the blowgun. After lunch, we return by boat to Iquitos, with final transfer to the city centre.
