Join a guided art and photography experience inspired by Dharma Art and the mindful teachings found in Zen Camera by David Ulrich, Another Day Not Wasted by Guy Tal, and True Perception by Chögyam Trungpa.
Explore photography as a form of meditation, where awareness, stillness, and curiosity shape each frame. Walk through scenic Hudson Valley trails (typically about 3 miles return) and practice mindful seeing: pausing to breathe, observe light, colour, and form, and capture images that express presence rather than perfection.
Receive gentle creative prompts to help you approach photography as a contemplative art, whether you’re using a professional camera or your phone. All levels are welcome, from beginners discovering the joy of mindful seeing to experienced photographers seeking deeper creative connection.
Choose from a 1-day workshop or an extended 3–5 day immersive retreat, with time for exploration, reflection, and creative flow. Arrange your own accommodation nearby in the Hudson Valley. Walks are moderate and generally not challenging unless otherwise requested.
Please note: this experience focuses on mindful photography and creative practice — technical editing or post-production assistance is not provided.
